Triple A reports the average price for regular unleaded in Iowa is $2.79 a gallon, down a penny from a week ago. Prices vary regionally across the state, including:
- Des Moines: $2.77
- Ames: $2.87
- Iowa City: $2.85
- Cedar Rapids: $2.82
- Waterloo/Cedar Falls: $2.83
- Quad Cities (Iowa side): $2.72
- Quad Cities (Illinois side): $3.24
- Dubuque: $2.87
- Sioux City: $2.72
- Council Bluffs: $2.68
The average price for regular unleaded nationally is $3.10 a gallon.
