(Cordova, IL) -- An investigation is underway after a chemical spill yesterday afternoon.
Illinois State Police say a tank carrying a hazardous liquid detached from a semi-truck and tipped over as it was leaving the 3M Plant in Cordova, Illinois, just east of the Quad Cities.
Up to ten gallons of a flammable adhesive were spilled. Illinois Route 84 was closed for several hours as the clean-up took place. No injuries were reported.
