Snow removal equipment and their crews at the state, county, and municipal levels are standing by for when the snow picks up in the Omaha/Council Bluffs region.
City of Omaha plow operations will be underway as the snow begins.
City employees will plow main and secondary roads.
Due to the amount of snow possible, city government says some streets downtown and in other business areas may be plowed to the middle of the street to maintain sidewalk and curb access.
Residential contractors will work in neighborhoods.
The City of Omaha plan may be updated as the forecast changes.
