Iowa DOT Recommends No Travel On I-80 Due To Dangerous Road Conditions

(Des Moines, IA) -- The Iowa Department of Transportation is recommending zero travel on Interstate-80.

Dangerous whiteout conditions and multiple crashes are being reported.

This warning extends from I-80 east of Des Moines all the way to the Illinois border.

The Iowa State Patrol says I-80 westbound at mile marker 229 is closed due to a multi-vehicle crash.
