(Rock Island, IL) -- The Rock Island-Milan School District welcomes its first female superintendent.
On January 11, The Board of Education approved a three-year administrative contract with Dr. Sharon Williams.
Dr. Williams brings 23 years of experience as an educator, school leader, and district administrator to the role.
President of the Rock Island-Milan School District School Board, Terell Williams, says “Dr. Williams’s credentials and vision align seamlessly with our commitment to the future of our district. The board is confident that Dr. Sharon Williams is the ideal candidate to lead us into a promising future,”
She will start on July 1, 2024.
