(Des Moines, IA) -- A man is in stable condition after a Des Moines Police Officer found him on the ground outside of a home Sunday evening.
The Des Moines Police Department says officer Kiley Cook was on the city's east side when she spotted the 76 year old man on the ground. Police say he had fallen after having gone to buy groceries. The wind chill at the time was 33 degrees below zero. He was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.
