(Davenport, IA) -- Davenport Police identify the two people killed in a fire earlier this week.
44-year-old Brian L. Goodwin and 44-year-old Amy M. Smith were both killed in the fire.
Tuesday morning, Davenport Police and Fire responded to reports of a structure fire in the 5200 block of North Division Street.
Upon arrival, crews found smoke coming from the apartment and quickly extinguished the fire.
During a search, crews found Goodwin and Smith both deceased.
Police say they are treating their deaths as homicides.
