(Davenport, IA) -- The Iowa State Auditor's office is launching an investigation into settlement agreements made between the City of Davenport and three staffers last year. One was a $1.6 million payment to former administrator Corri Speigel.
Iowa State Auditor Rob Sand says that his office received a request from an elected Davenport official expressing concern about the timing and transparency of the payouts.
Sand says his office will release a report once their investigation is complete.
