(Moline, IL) -- A suspect connected to two deaths in Moline is dead.
55 year-old Chad Hillyer of Aledo was suspected in the fatal shooting of his 79 year-old mother Donna Ericson, and his friend Steven Herring. Both were found dead at separate locations in Moline on Wednesday.
Later Wednesday, Coralville police responded to a suspicious vehicle call just off Interstate 380 near Tiffin, Iowa. Officers found Hillyer dead at the scene from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
