In southwest Iowa, the Fremont County Sheriff's Office says human remains are found after a detached garage fire in Farragut.
Witnesses told fire and law enforcement a person had entered the structure early Wednesday, but had not been seen exiting the garage.
The Sheriff's Office says the identity of the person is being withheld pending notification of relatives.
Farragut Fire, Shenandoah Fire and Rescue, Essex Fire, Riverton Fire, Sidney Fire, Hamburg Fire, Randolph Fire, Tabor Fire, and Thurman Fire all responded to the call with the Fremont County Sheriff's Office.
The State Fire Marshal is investigating.
