(Des Moines, IA) -- The Des Moines Police Department is reminding residents to lock their vehicles if there's a firearm inside.
DMPD says of all guns reported stolen in 2023, 33% of them were taken from vehicles. Police recommend not leaving a firearm unattended in an unlocked vehicle.
