(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- A local consulting firm says they aim to put together a plan that will excite the community.
Cedar Rapids School District voted last night to hire local firm Shive-Hattery to guide them in developing another facilities bond plan to put before voters in November of next year.
The Cedar Rapids Gazette reports that as part of the 850-thousand dollar agreement, Shive-Hattery will review infrastructure, develop a new facilities plan, and work to sell that plan to voters.
This September, a 10-year renewal of the district's Physical Plant and Equipment Levy will be on the ballot.
