(Des Moines, IA) -- A national financial website says Des Moines is among the top 15 best state capitals in the nation.
WalletHub conducted a nationwide study of all 50 state capitals based on 48 metrics across several categories, including affordability, economic well-being, quality of life, and quality of education and health. Des Moines came in 15th overall as well as 3rd in housing affordability and 2nd in the percentage of state, local, and federal employees.
WalletHub ranks Austin, Texas at the top of the list, and at the bottom of the list is Trenton, New Jersey.
