(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- The compromised dome at Harding Middle School in Cedar Rapids re-opens to students today.
The domes housing the cafeteria and gyms at Harding and Taft Middle Schools were shut down in October due to structural defects in their wood support beams.
The nearly 60 year-old beams are now reinforced with concrete bases and steel panels.
