(Cambridge, IL) -- Guilty of murder. That was the decision of a Henry County jury after just three hours of deliberation in the trial of Daylon Richardson.
In closing arguments Thursday, prosecutors argued Richardson intentionally hit and killed Knox County Deputy Nick Weist during a police chase in April 2022. The defense contended he lost control of his car.
Richardson faces life in prison when he is sentenced on May 24th.
