Nebraska Public Power District managers say inspections of power poles begin March 11th and will continue through June.
NPPD line crews will be using helicopters to patrol transmission lines from the air and UTVs to inspect the lines from the ground.
The electric utility says you may see inspectors from Milford up to Creighton, Norfolk, Page, and Spencer in northeast Nebraska, plus rural areas of Ainsworth and Long Pine, to Ogallala, Brule, Sutherland, and Chadron in western and southwest Nebraska.
