(Linn County, IA) -- A eastern Iowa man's hurt after a fire and small explosion. The Linn County Sheriff's Office says 46-year-old Carson Moser of Palo was hurt when a generator backfired around 7 o'clock this (Friday) morning in his work trailer. Investigators say the backfire caused a fire, which caught nearby flammables on fire, creating a small explosion. Moser was able to get help at a nearby residence. He was taken by ambulance to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, and is being treated for burns. Moser is in critical but stable condition.
The Sheriff's Office says says the fire was extinguished and no other structures were damaged.
