(Des Moines, IA) -- A jury in Polk County finds a Des Moines man guilty of first-degree murder.
On Friday, a Polk County jury found guilty in the fatal shooting of Darren Diggs in the deadly shooting of Kalvyn Kline in October of 2021 outside a Des Moines apartment complex. Evidence showed that Kline had called Diggs to buy Xanax prior to the shooting. Shell casings found at the scene matched a gun owned by Diggs.
A first-degree murder charge carries a mandatory sentence of life in prison in Iowa.
