(Des Moines, IA) -- One person is seriously hurt after an apartment fire early Sunday morning on Des Moines' southwest side.
Crews responded to reports of the fire a little after 12:30am. Firefighters were able to evacuate a 65 year-old man from a first floor apartment through a window as they put the fire out. He was taken to an area hospital in critical condition.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
