(Ceresco, NE) -- A police officer is dead after a crash near Ceresco, about 20 miles north of Lincoln. The Nebraska State Patrol says Ceresco Police Officer Ross Bartlett was conducting a traffic stop when his police cruiser was struck by another vehicle. He was flown to a hospital where he died shortly after.
The Nebraska State Patrol says in a statement that they are completing a full crash reconstruction as part of the investigation. Further information is forthcoming.
