(Wellman, IA) -- The ride to and from school has become a lot safer for students riding the bus in the Mid-Prairie Community School District, southwest of Iowa City.
Incidents of drivers blowing past stopped school buses have dropped to zero after a Canadian company that heard about the issue donated high-visibility safety signs to the district.
After trying the signs on one bus for a few months, the District says it now plans to buy signs for the entire fleet.
