(Iowa City, IA) -- The Iowa City Community School District is the latest to approve cuts for next year. The board voted to shave 7-million dollars from their 2024-25 budget.
Iowa City School Board VP JP Claussen tells Iowa's News Now that loss of state student-funding, and the end of pandemic grants contributed to the cuts. He hopes this year's cuts are enough to avoid more cuts next year.
Both Linn-Mar and Cedar Rapids Schools cut their 24-25 budgets this week.
