(Davenport, IA) -- The Scott County Sheriff is responding to accusations of wrongdoing.
The Iowa Ethics and Campaign Disclosure Board says they're investigating Sheriff Scott Lane for using county resources for campaigning.
Lane says he did give out candy in uniform from a squad car in the Bettendorf Halloween Parade in October, but he didn't announce his candidacy for re-election until January.
Lane says his opponent in the June 4th primary filed the complaint.
