(Omaha, NE). - - Children were just arriving home from school when a powerful tornado plowed through Omaha, damaging and destroying homes. Emergency Management and rescue crews worked into the night looking for people and surveying damage.
A neighborhood off 212-214th and Maple is especially hard hit, with many families losing everything. Others whose homes made it through the tornado will need to do clean up and make repairs.
Douglas County says the Pheasant Point Landfill will take storm debris Saturday.
