(Bettendorf, IA) -- The Iowa Ethics and Campaign Disclosure Board says five staff members and two board members of Pleasant Valley Schools in Bettendorf, used school email accounts for campaign purposes.

Former board candidate Amy McCabe filed the complaint, furnishing dozens of emails the Ethics Board says violate state law. Superintendent Brian Strusz, and his secretary Deb Dayman were cited along with Kelsey Allbaugh, Margaret Dougherty, and Tony Hiatt. School board President Nikhil Wagle, and former board member Tracey Rivera, were also admonished.

The admonishments aren't considered disciplines, and can't be appealed.
