Omaha Mayor Jean Stothert sends a letter to the City Council asking it to approve 100-thousand dollars to assist families impacted by the tornado of April, 2024.
The funds, set aside and approved by the council in the 2024 budget, were to be distributed through the annual Neighborhood Grants program.
The resolution on next week's council agenda will authorize the reallocation of Neighborhood Grants funds to two tornado relief funds to be administered by the Elkhorn Public Schools Foundation and Relevant Church.
