(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- Work is underway on the renovation of a local landmark.
The National Czech and Slovak Museum and Library will incorporate an astronomical clock, called an orloj, into its clocktower, modeled after one in the Old Town Hall in Prague.
Cecilia Rokusek of the The National Czech and Slovak Museum and Library tells Iowa's News Now that the orloj in Prague features religious figures, but the one here will highlight immigrants.
She says the tower will be renamed the Immigration Tower after the renovations.
