The Nebraska Department of Correctional Services reports an inmate has died at a Lincoln facility.
Corrections says 44-year old Estell Jennings died over the weekend at the Reception and Treatment Center.
His sentence began on August 22nd, 2014.
Jennings was serving a 60- to- 80 -year sentence for attempted first degree sexual assault of a child out of Douglas County, two counts of first degree sexual assault out of Sarpy County, and two counts of incest out of Sarpy County.
Corrections says, while the cause of death has not yet been determined, Jennings was being treated for a medical condition.
As is the case whenever someone dies in law enforcement custody or while being taken into custody, state law dictates a grand jury investigation.
