(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- A woman accused of killing her own step-mother two years ago, took the stand in her own defense yesterday.
Samantha Bevans told a Benton County courtroom that she was an unwitting participant in the murder of Jodie Bevans, that she says was committed by her boyfriend Tacoa Talley.
Talley is serving a life sentence for the crime. Closing arguments in the case are expected today.
