John Deere to Shift Some Production Lines from Dubuque Plant to Mexico

(Dubuque, IA) -- John Deere will shift some production from its Dubuque facility to Ramos, Mexico in 2026, pending the construction of a new facility in Ramos. The spokesperson says the company will move production of mid-frame skid steer loaders and compact track loaders. The spokesperson says the number of workers affected will be unclear until the time of the move. Deere recently laid off employees at its Ankeny and Cedar Rapids facilities.
