Investigators say officers were called to a hotel near 109th and West Dodge Road late Wednesday night on a report of a shooting.
Police say 36-year- old Chaudhari Rajendrakumar told officers he believed the shooting happened about 20 minutes before he called 911 and the shot came from a room above him.
Police say Rajendrakumar had a gunshot wound to his lower left leg.
Officers gained permission to check the other room, but there was no evidence of a gunshot.
In another shooting, Omaha Police were called to a hospital early Thursday in regard to a shooting victim.
Police say 18-tear old Nathan Elmer told officers he was in Candlewood Park when an unknown man approached him and demanded his property.
When Elmer refused, the suspect fired a shot at him from a gun, grazing him in the left arm.
He was treated and released.
