(Bettendorf, IA) -- Bettendorf Police are reminding residents to lock up garages, vehicles, and homes as the school year ends.
Police say there is always an increase in what they call 'crimes of opportunity' by juveniles once school is out.
Investigators say a rash of residential break-ins in Davenport last week were committed by a group of armed young people.
Police say that's a reminder to lock-up and avoid what could become a violent crime.
