Dallas County Iowa Sheriff's Office Seeks Name For New Therapy Dog

Dallas County Jail will receive one of these puppies to be trained as a therapy K9 officer.

(Dallas County, IA) -- The Dallas County Sheriff's Office is getting a therapy dog for the jail. The dog will be used for victim interviews, peer support, grief and trauma support, and office wellness. The Sheriff's Office is accepting names now, for the male, cream-colored Golden Retriever.

The Dallas County Sheriff's Office is partnering with Crisis K9's of the Midlands. A Dallas County Foundation Grant will help defer the costs. .

The Sheriff's Office with collect suggested names and will have an internal vote to name their newest K9 employee.
