(Davenport, IA) -- Hot, muggy weather today will usher in chances of severe weather for eastern Iowa tonight, but more so on Thursday.
Meteorologist Jim Hladik with the National Weather Service says some thunderstorms with a low risk of severity will roll through tonight.
Hladik says a cold front moving in from the northwest tomorrow will spawn stronger storms with a higher risk of hail and damaging winds.
