(Dubuque, IA) -- Police are identifying the man who was found dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound in Dubuque as a teacher who had been accused of sexual abuse.
Police say officers were attempting to serve an arrest warrant at Trent Paschal's apartment Wednesday in the 900 block of Washington Street when they heard a gunshot from inside the apartment and discovered his body.
Paschal was a Jefferson Middle School teacher and coach in the Dubuque Community School District.
He was accused of being involved in a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old student in the district.
