(Scott County, IA) -- A southwest Iowa trucker is accused of stealing a semi-truck from the company that had fired her.

According to court documents, 43-year-old Angelic Eicke of Hastings, was fired from West Side Transport while at their terminal in Glenwood Illinois Monday.

The Iowa State Patrol says she got back into the 2021 Freightliner semi and drove away from the terminal.

Eicke had been notified the semi was reported stolen, but refused to return it after numerous calls from the company.

ISP says they were notified of a stolen truck entering the state on Interstate 80 near LeClaire at around 3:30 p.m. Monday, and stopped her about 170 miles away from the terminal.

Eicke faces a felony charge of first-degree theft and is scheduled to appear in Scott County Court for a preliminary hearing July 5th.
