(Fort Dodge, IA) -- Fire broke out at the former Fair Oaks Middle school just before ten, Monday night.
Fire chief said the fire started on the southeast side of the building's third floor. Heavy fire could be seen coming out of the century-old building's window.
As of 11:45 p.m., Monday night, the fire was knocked down and crews were focusing on the remaining hot spots.
