(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- A group plans to take another shot at a casino for Cedar Rapids.
With Iowa's two-year gaming ban expiring Sunday, Peninsula Pacific Entertainment, and the Linn County Gaming Association are reviving plans for the Cedar Crossing Casino.
The facility would still be located north of I-380 on the west bank of the Cedar River at a cost of 250-million dollars.
The group will apply for a new gaming license before the Racing and Gaming Commission July 8th.
Governor Kim Reynolds signed a bill delaying new casino license filings for two years in 2022.
An Iowa's News Now investigation found she received thousands of dollars in donations from a group lobbying against a casino in Cedar Rapids.
