(Iowa) -- A national personal finance website ranks Iowa among the top states whose residents are responsible with their credit.
A new nationwide study from WalletHub ranks Iowa second on the list of states with best credit responsibility. According to the study, Iowa has the lowest percentage of people who missed credit payments in the first quarter of this year. The study looked at each state using six metrics, including:
- Percentage of Customers Who Have Collections Tradelines
- Percentage of Frozen Credit Reports
- Percentage of Customers Who Missed Payments
- Percentage of Customers Who Have Active Bankruptcies
- Percentage of Customers Who Have Foreclosures
- Percentage of Customers Who Have Filed a Dispute in the Last Two Quarters
Topping the list of states with the best credit responsibility is Vermont, and at the bottom is Louisiana. The full study is available on WalletHub's website.
