There may still be more layoffs to come at John Deere.

On Friday, Deere & Company announced over 600 layoffs in the Quad Cities effective August 30th.

The ag equipment manufacturer reported a revenue drop of more than 15-percent in the second quarter.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture anticipates a drop of about 25-percent in net farm income this year.

That's expected to lead to a further reduction in equipment purchases by farmers, which Deere says may result in more job losses.
