Man Wanted On Federal Arrest Warrants Flees From US Marshalls

(Pocahontas, IA) -- A man with federal arrests warrants fled from US Marshals and is considered to be armed and extremely dangerous.

The Pocahontas County Sheriff's Office says they were notified at around 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 9 that Nathan Edward Nickless, who has federal arrest warrants, was possibly in Pocahontas County.

At around 3:30 p.m. Nickless was located at a Casey's Convenience store in Pocahontas.

The Sheriff's Office says he failed to follow commands before fleeing in his vehicle.

They say the pursuit ended when Nickless's vehicle became disabled on 270th Avenue near the intersection with 470th Street SW of Rolfe, and then fled on foot into a corn field.

An initial search included drones, K-9s, aircraft, and countless law enforcement agencies.

The search ended at around 1:30 a.m. with Nickless still unlocated.

He was last seen wearing a light blue shirt, a baseball cap, and shorts.

The Sheriff's Office says to not approach this subject and to call 911 if you believe you see him.
