(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- If you see something, say something. That's the message from the city of Cedar Rapids as they battle an onslaught of graffiti and vandalism in the city.

Staff have dealt with 27 incidents across 18 parks and trails so far this year, resulting in more than 9-thousand dollars in damage.

Cedar Rapids Parks and Recreation Director Hashim Taylor says it's taking up time staff could be spending on maintenance and improvements to parks and facilities.

You can report vandalism to the Cedar Rapids Police non-emergency line, or on the My CR app.
