(Iowa City, IA) -- It seems everyone agrees Johnson County needs a new jail. The sticking points are how big and how much.
Johnson County Supervisors and the Sheriff reviewed a space needs assessment last night.
Some supervisors say that with crime dropping, the plans for 140 beds is too much.
They'll discuss the plans again August 28th.
