(Rock Island, IL) -- There is a new Deputy Fire Chief of the Rock Island Fire Department.
Fire Marshal Greg Marty is being promoted to the position.
Marty has been with the RIFD since 2001. He replaces Assistant Chief Terry Smith who retired this week.
