(Iowa) -- A national personal finance website ranks Iowa among the lowest states in the country for having at-risk youth.

WalletHub ranked all 50 states and the District of Columbia across 15 key metrics to identify numbers of at-risk youth. Metrics included youth unemployment, the share of disconnected youth, youth percentage in the work force, and more. Iowa ranked 48 out of 51, ranking well in terms of youth participation in the work force, ages 18-24, and low youth unemployment numbers. The top of the list, meaning the states with the highest at-risk youth, are Louisiana, New Mexico, and Arizona. The only states with lower number of at-risk youth than Iowa are Illinois, New Hampshire, and New Jersey, respectively.
