(Moline, IL) -- We now know the number of salaried employees John Deere is laying off in Illinois.
Almost 300 people lost their jobs at Deere World Headquarters in the Quad Cities, and another 21 were let go at Harvester Works in Moline last week. Those numbers come from the Illinois Department of Commerce.
That makes a total of 489 salaried Deere employees let go in Illinois and Iowa last week.
Tuesday, Deere announced 134 layoffs at Seeding & Cylinder Works in Moline targeted for August and October.
