(Iowa City, IA) -- A false bomb threat at the Johnson County Courthouse continues to be investigated.
The Sheriff's Office received a call Wednesday, July 31 at around 10:17 p.m. that a suspicious item had been left outside the courthouse.
Upon arrival, officers located the item and closed off the area to the public.
Iowa's News Now reports the Johnson County Metro Bomb Team removed the item and found it not to be dangerous.
They later identified it as a stack of books.
