Man Charged After Stabbing Outside Quad Cities Restaurant

(Rock Island, IL) -- A 19 year-old man is charged with aggravated battery after a stabbing near a Quad Cities restaurant.

Rock Island Police believe Nicholas Brown got into an argument with a 54 year-old man outside Poor Boy's Pizza on 18th Avenue Wednesday afternoon.

Police say Brown stabbed the man in the stomach when the confrontation got physical.

Reports say the owners of Poor Boy's claim Brown, an employee of theirs, acted in self-defense.

The victim is recovering.

The Rock Island County State’s Attorney is investigating.
