(Des Moines, IA) -- The Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority is bringing back its Park and Ride shuttles to the Iowa State Fair, however, there are some changes this year.
Unlike previous years, DART will no longer be offering discounted rides for fair goers who show their fair admission ticket in advance.
DART says however, they will be offering half-price tickets in the MyDART app for children, adults 65 or older, people with disabilities, or those on Medicare.
The Park and Ride service will be available located at the the Iowa State Capitol, Southeast Polk High School, and 7th and Center Street Parking Garage from 8:00 a.m. to midnight each day of the fair.
On August 15th, the shuttle will be located at Southeast Polk Junior High School due to an event being held at the high school on that day.
The 2024 Iowa State Fair runs from Thursday, August 8 through Sunday, August 18.
