(Polk County, IA) -- A Carlisle woman is dead after a crash over the weekend.
The Polk County Sheriff's Office says the single-vehicle crash happened early Sunday in Pleasant Hill. Deputies responded to the 57-hundred block of Vandalia Road and found a vehicle on its side and on fire. Emergency crews were able to put the fire out and found the body of 35-year-old Emily Woosley in the vehicle.
Investigators say the crash happened when Woosley lost control of the vehicle, hit the guardrail, and rolled into a ditch.
